Dr. Phillips serves as the Division Director for the Emergency Ultrasound Program. Dr. Phillips is from New Jersey and attended medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – New Jersey Medical School. She then subsequently completed an emergency medicine residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. She has been with MedStar since 2007 and works primarily at MedStar Washington Hospital in Washington DC. She is currently also the Committee Chair for the hospital-wide Point of Care Ultrasound Committee at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Outside of work, Carolyn loves spending time with her family, her dogs, and her many interesting and quirky hobbies.
