Thank you for your interest in the Georgetown University Hospital / Washington Hospital Center Residency Training Program in Emergency Medicine.

The program’s official name reflects the partnership between the Georgetown University School of Medicine, the program’s academic home, and the Washington Hospital Center, a nationally recognized teaching hospital and one of the 30 largest hospitals in the nation.

The goal of our program is to graduate superb clinicians and leaders in emergency medicine, Our graduating residents are highly competent, technically proficient, and are passionate about the practice of emergency medicine.

We are also committed to innovation. With advanced capabilities and pioneering programs in medical informatics, simulation training, and emergency ultrasound, we are poised to bring new technologies and new modes of care delivery to the future.
