The Department of Emergency Medicine at the Washington Hospital Center offers emergency physicians a two year fellowship training program in critical care in conjunction with the Department of Internal Medicine.
Washington Hospital Center serves as the primary clinical training site, and is complemented by rotations at the National Institutes of Health, Inova Fairfax Hospital, Children’s National Medical Center, Franklin Square Hospital Center and Walter Reed Army Medical Center. In addition to individuals in our training program, fellows from the National Institutes of Health, Georgetown University Hospital and the Uniformed Armed Services programs rotate through the hospital’s intensive care units to create rich and multidisciplinary learning experiences.
