Clinical experiences lie at the core of emergency medical training. Our program gives residents a comprehensive clinical experience with an emphasis on pediatrics, critical care and trauma.

Emergency Department

Residents rotate through five different emergency departments whose patient populations provide a significant diversity of cases from high acuity Level I adult and pediatric trauma to complicated tertiary care referrals and general emergency medicine cases.

Urban / Academic Medical Center Tertiary Care Center Georgetown University Hospital averages 35,000 Emergency Department visits annually and provides care for a range patients ranging from complex tertiary care referrals to general emergency medicine practice.
Children’s National Medical Center (CNMC) Washington, DC Urban Tertiary Care Center Level I Pediatric CNMC is home to the District’s only ACS Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and hosts 80,000 pediatric ED Visits annually.
Shady Grove Adventist Hospital (SGAH) Rockville, MD Suburban / Community Hospital Acute Care Center An acute care facility that provides the full range of emergency medical services.
